Advances in dental technology like low radiation digital imaging continue to make the dentists perform safer and more precise in evaluating the patients’ dental health. Nowadays, patients have become more aware and they opt for treatment with less or no radiation exposure. The primary risk from radiography is radiation-induced cancer. Catering to patients’ needs, digital radiography in dentistry reduces the radiation dose by up to 80%, when compared with conventional plain film radiography. Radiation exposure from digital imaging can be as little as 10 percent of what patients would be exposed to with film-based radiography. Dental x-rays allow manipulation of the image produced such as contrast, density, sharpness and image orientation, without any additional radiation exposure to the patient or the operator.
Dental x-rays are normal and are often taken regularly in order to identify dental problems as early as possible. Hence, digital dental imaging tools are of much importance for dentists to perform day to day job. Without them, they just can’t function.
The dental imaging tools provided by world-renowned brand Vatech offers various benefits including significant reduction in scan time, reduced artifacts, and sub-millimeter resolution. Vatech EzSensor Classic, the most preferred digital intraoral sensor unit, is the safest and largest selling digital sensor not only in India — but worldwide. It provides superior image quality using advanced hybrid CMOS APS Detector. Vatech provides advanced digital sensors that are more responsive, fast and provides accurate diagnosis than films and works on less radiation exposure.
Innovations in dental imaging space have made the lives of both patients and doctors easier than before and certainly have democratized the dental care. Digital Sensors have changed how dental care is delivered not only in India but worldwide.
